A Message From Our Founder & Lead Trainer

Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and Well-Wishers,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Kathmandu Professional Institute (KPI Nepal) and Kathmandu Montessori Training Center (KMTC).

My journey as a Montessori educator began with a dream to improve the quality of early childhood education in Nepal. Before entering the field of Montessori education, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in India. After returning to Nepal, I pursued professional Montessori Teacher Training at City Montessori Training Center, Bagbazar, Kathmandu. This training became the foundation of my professional career.

After completing my Montessori training, I joined Kidszee School, Kamalpokhari, as a Montessori teacher. Working with young children gave me valuable practical experience and strengthened my passion for early childhood education. It also inspired me to train future teachers who would make a positive difference in children's lives.

With this vision, I established Kathmandu Montessori Training Center (KMTC) in 2014 at Bagbazar, Kathmandu. Our goal was simple—to provide quality Montessori teacher training that combines theory with practical classroom experience.

A major turning point came in 2016, when our Managing Director, Mr. Anand Devkota, invited internationally respected Australian educator Gavin McCormack to Nepal. I had the privilege of receiving Senior Montessori Training directly from Gavin Sir. His dedication to education and his generous support were truly inspiring. He voluntarily conducted a 35-day professional training program for our organization, sharing modern teaching methodologies, classroom management techniques, and child-centered educational practices.

The continuous encouragement and guidance of Gavin Sir have played a significant role in the growth and success of our training center. His mentorship motivated us to continuously improve our curriculum and maintain high standards in teacher education.

Today, I feel proud to say that more than 1,000 trainees have successfully completed their Montessori and Early Childhood Development (ECD) training with us.

The success of our graduates is our greatest achievement:

90% are working as Montessori and ECD teachers in schools across Nepal.
4% have established their own Montessori schools and teacher training centers.
2% have pursued higher education or employment opportunities abroad.
4% are applying their Montessori knowledge at home by providing quality care and early learning experiences for their own children while also engaging in part-time or home-based income-generating activities.

Seeing our graduates succeed gives me immense satisfaction and motivates me to continue serving the education sector.

Over the years, our organization has expanded its training services to different locations across Nepal. Currently, I am leading our main training center at Kalanki, Kathmandu, where we continue to provide high-quality Montessori and Early Childhood Development (ECD) teacher training to aspiring educators. Through our practical, student-centered approach, we remain committed to preparing skilled, confident, and compassionate teachers for the future.

Our mission is clear:

To provide the best ECD Diploma and Montessori Teacher Training in Nepal while empowering women through quality education, professional skills, and meaningful employment opportunities. We strongly believe that when women become educated, skilled, and financially independent, they uplift not only themselves but also their families, communities, and future generations.

At KPI Nepal and KMTC, we are committed to continuously improving our programs. We regularly update our curriculum by adding new topics, modern teaching methodologies, practical learning experiences, and internationally recognized educational concepts so that our trainees are well-prepared for today's classrooms.

To all our dear students, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for trusting our organization, believing in our vision, and supporting us throughout this wonderful journey. Your success is our greatest reward and the true inspiration behind our continuous efforts.

Although many of you have completed your training and started your own professional journeys, you will always remain a part of our KMTC family. I sincerely miss each one of you and feel proud whenever I hear about your achievements.

Together, let us continue to build a brighter future for children through quality early childhood education and dedicated teachers.

Thank you once again for your trust, love, and continued support.

Sincerely,

Preeti Poudel
